Early Warning: Wheaton Ale Fest Aug. 4

Only 2,000 general admission tickets will be sold for the event, which will have 50 local and national craft brewers in attendance.

Beer lovers rejoice. is only a week away.

VIP tickets are already sold out. General admission tickets are limited, so don’t wait to long to purchase them if you plan to attend the event this year. In 2011, 1,600 people attended the Ale Fest.

The festival of beer is being held from noon to 4 p.m., Aug. 4 at Memorial Park in Wheaton. There will be 125 styles of beer to sample and 50 local and national craft brewers in attendance, according to a news release from Ale Fest.

Along with the beer, there will be food, music and the chance for attendees to vote for their favorite Illinois craft beer. The Wheaton Park District is hosting the event in cooperation with CASA DuPage.

No one under the age of 21 will be allowed in, including children or babies in strollers, according to the news release.
