The Wheaton North/Wheaton-Warrenville Soth co-op boys gymnastics team won its third consecutive team championship on Friday, making it the fifth program to "three-peat," and the first in a decade to accomplish this feat, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The team finished in first with 161.55 total points — ahead of the second-place team from Stevenson High School, which had 153.7 points — during Friday's state competition at Hinsdale Central, according to the Illinois High School Association website.

Senior David MacDonald "defended his all-around crown" at the state meet, according to the Chicago Tribune. Senior Ethan Sansone placed second in the all-around, according to the IHSA.

Glenbard West High School placed fourth at the state championship.

Would it kill the Patch do edit their articles and try to actually give a little credit to Wheaton North for the win, since it is in fact the WHEATON Co-Op, not the Wheaton South co-op? This crap has gone on for decades and you would swear that the only school that mattered in town was South.

I'm also curious, wondering what a Soth is.

And since I'm beating a dead horse, Wheaton-Warrenville requires a hyphen. Ok, I'm done.
