Wheaton Co-Op Wins Third Straight State Title in Boys Gymnastics

Congrats to the Wheaton North/Wheaton-Warrenville South co-op boys gymnastics team!

The Wheaton North/Wheaton-Warrenville Soth co-op boys gymnastics team won its third consecutive team championship on Friday, making it the fifth program to "three-peat," and the first in a decade to accomplish this feat, according to the Chicago Tribune. 

The team finished in first with 161.55 total points — ahead of the second-place team from Stevenson High School, which had 153.7 points — during Friday's state competition at Hinsdale Central, according to the Illinois High School Association website. 

Senior David MacDonald "defended his all-around crown" at the state meet, according to the Chicago Tribune. Senior Ethan Sansone placed second in the all-around, according to the IHSA. 

Glenbard West High School placed fourth at the state championship.
