Wheaton North Leads DVC Football Race
By virtue of its 38-7 victory over West Aurora and Naperville Central upsetting Glenbard North Friday night, Wheaton North is the league leader at 4-0 after its one-sided win over the Blackhawks in Aurora.
John Peltz threw two first-half touchdowns strikes, and the secondary returned two interceptions for scores in the second half as the Falcons dominated their DuPage Valley Conference game at West Aurora Friday night.
With its 38-7 victory, highlighted by the defense not allowing West Aurora triple-digits in yards gained, North (5-1 overall, 4-0 in league play) is the conference leaders with three games to play.
"We saw their weakness on defense and we attacked them," said Peltz, who had nine straight completions to end the first half.

Patrick Sharp returned from a two-game absence to lead all rushers with 117 yards on 22 carries.
The junior scored on a 12-yard burst with 40 seconds to play before the intermission to give the Falcons a 21-7 lead at the break.

Brendan Dunlap and Luke Sahly returned second-half interceptions for touchdowns to conclude the Falcons' scoring.
