Wheaton Lacrosse Heads to State Semifinal

The Wheaton Warrenville South varsity lacrosse team will play Loyola Academy in a state semifinal game.

The Varsity Lacrosse team is set to play Loyola Academy today in a State semi-final lacrosse playoff game. The Tigers (17-3) won the Dupage Valley Conference title for the second year in a row and are the #4 seeded team in the State Championship Class A Bracket of the tournament.

The team is led by captains Tyler Cook (All-American, All-State, All Conference) and Sam Prete (All Conference). Cook will continue his lacrosse career at High Point University in North Carolina and Prete will play on at the University of Wisconsin. Major contributions have also come from Scott Blouin (all-conference) Ryan McNeil (all-conference), Brandon Peterson (all-state, all-conference), Kyle McGrath (all-conference), Collin Schwerin (all-conference), Quin Haack (all-conference).
