Wheaton Boys Golf Teams Competing at State

The Warrenville South High School boys golf team and the St. Francis High School golf team will compete this weekend at the state tournament.

Two Wheaton high school boys golf teams will be competing this weekend in the state boys golf tournament.

Warrenville South High School in the Class 3A two-round tournament that takes place Friday and Saturday at The Den at Fox Creek Golf Course in Bloomington and St. Francis High School golf teams will compete in the Class 2A tournament at Illinois State University’s Weibring Golf Club in Normal. 

Will Kelly, junior, Tommy Dale, junior, Bailey Dahlquist, junior, Sean McCaffrey, sophomore, Will Denman, senior, and Brian McCaffrey will compete for the Warrenville South High School team. 

John Stolte, senior, Dan Zurawski, senior, Jonathan Nocek, sophomore, Connor Buckley, sophomore, Dan Mochel, senior, and Jeff DiTusa, senior, will be competing for the St. Francis High School team. 

Warrenville South High School qualified as a team for this year's tournament after placing second at last weekend's Naperville Central Sectional. Junior Will Kelly was a medalist at the meet with the lowest score shot of 70. 

St. Francis High School qualified as a team for this year's Class 2A tournament after placing second at the LaGrange Park Sectional. John Stolte recorded the lowest score shot for the team at 80.
