Wheaton Athlete Recognized for Academic Achievement

Wheaton native Meghan Pipal named to the All-Academic Team by the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference for academic achievement.

The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) has recognized Wheaton resident Meghan Pipal for her academic achievements by being naming her to the All-Academic Team for the fall in 2012. Pipal is a senior at Olivet Nazarene University, majoring in elementary education and competing in women's soccer.

To be nominated for this award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at his or her respective CCAC school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and have earned no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.

Pipal was also named a 2012 College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA) Capital One Academic All-American Third Team honoree for her performance in the classroom as well as on the field. An NAIA All-American honorable mention honoree and NAIA Scholar-Athlete, she was also selected as a First Team All-Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) member as well as a National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) North Central Region Player of the Year.
