U13 Warriors Baseball Team Comes Out of Tie to Win Glen Ellyn Summer Classic

The U13 Wheaton Warriors Red baseball team win the championship game of the Glen Ellyn Summer Classic 9-4 this weekend.

The Under 13 Wheaton Warriors Red boys baseball team kept their hot-streak alive by winning Glen Ellyn's 2011 Summer Classic over the weekend.

The Warriors took third place after finishing with three wins and a loss in the Milwaukee, WI 13U baseball tournament in late June just before competing as the No. 8 seed in the West Suburban Baseball League (WSBL) playoffs. The Warriors lost in the semifinals to the No. 1 seed.

This weekend, however, the Warriors won four consecutive games at the 2011 Glen Ellyn Summer Classic against teams from Oak Park, Glen Ellyn, Schaumburg and Addison. They played Glen Ellyn in a tight championship game that remained close through the first five innings.
