Wheaton Warrenville South junior Keisha Clousing won the state tennis title in singles play Saturday.
She beat Hinsdale Central's Alex Solovyev 6-4, 6-1 to win the title at Buffalo Grove High School.
Wheaton Warrenville South finished 10th overall, tying with Oak Park-River Forest, Stevenson and Chicago's Whitney Young.
Clousing defeated Lyons Township's Alex Chatt 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 in the semis before the final.
Clousing told the Chicago Tribune revenge fueled her victory Saturday, after losing to Chatt and Solovyev at state last year. Clousing's win is the first singles title in Wheaton Warrenville South history, according to the Tribune.
