Falcons Fall to Lake Zurich in Football Quarterfinals
A 16-6 win sends Lake Zurich to Class 7A semifinals at Glenbard West on Saturday.
The Lake Zurich Bears are headed to the Class 7A football semifinals after defeating Wheaton North 16-6 on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, the Daily Herald reports.
Saturday’s game pitted the top-seeded Bears (11-1) against No. 5 North (9-3) in what the Daily Herald characterized as a “hard-fought” win that saw Lake Zurich’s defense hold the Falcons to just 33 yards rushing and 87 yards throwing.
