WHEATON, Ill. – On July 15, 2012, Simply Sound will present “Rue and Litro A Dog Wedding & Dog Rescue Fundraiser”, a dog friendly event celebrating the marriage of two rescue Siberian Huskies to raise money for rescues around Illinois at the DuPage County Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Parking is free and there is an $8 entrance fee (children under 12 free). The event will feature dog and cat rescue organizations, wedding vendors, K9 demonstrations, service dogs, Cutest & Ugliest Dog Contest, food, raffles & prizes, a live DJ from Simply Sound, live music by Rebel Highway, a fenced dog play area, dog marriages by Rev. Jim Rehnberg, guest speakers and attractions for the whole family.

“Rue & Litro A Dog Wedding & Dog Rescue Fundraiser” will raise awareness for local rescues. Cheryl Keller of Great Lakes Weimaraner Rescue in Great Lakes, Michigan stated, “We have placed over 1,000 dogs and are really thrilled to be coming to the Chicagoland area. We will be bringing Weimaraners for people to learn more about the breed.” Money will be raised for dog rescues, the Hoffman Estates Park District’s community dog park and the DuPage County Fairgrounds’ water and electrical improvements. The 10,000 person expected attendance will benefit the community by increasing traffic in local businesses.

Rue and Litro are the dogs of Kevin Glowicki, owner of Simply Sound Wedding DJ’s and More. Glowicki had the idea to use his expertise to raise money for local dog rescues and shelters. The event will be sponsored by: Petco, Tails pet magazine, the DuPage Count Fair, Bentley’s Corner Barkery, the Hoffman Estates Park District, Britni Senkiw Designs and D.D. Industries, Inc.
