155 Wheaton Runners Finish Chicago Marathon
More than 150 people from Wheaton ran in the Chicago Marathon Sunday. Wheaton's best finisher was 252nd overall.
About 45,000 runners from every U.S. state and 115 countries participated in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon Sunday.
Ethiopian Tsegaye Kebede had the top finish in the marathon at 2:04:38, breaking the course record set last year by Kenya's Moses Mosop, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Two Wheaton teens and a Wheaton woman placed in the top five in their division. Clare Kelly, 18, finished second in her division with a time of 3:25:15. Bobby Niska, 19, placed fifth in his division with a time of 3:05:39. Marianne Huml, 57, placed third in her division at 3:24:00.
