Local Funeral Home Offers Pet Cremation Services
Moss Family Funeral Home began offering pet services in March 2013 when the business opened its own crematorium, according to the Daily Herald.
Polly Volkman of Spring Grove knew were to turn when her beloved Sonny died of kidney disease, according to the Daily Herald.
Her cat, which had been a Christmas present from her dying husband 10 years ago, was cremated by Moss Family Funeral Home in Batavia, the same funeral home that buried her husband and two other relatives, according to the Daily Herald. She told the Daily Herald it was a "nice, personal, comforting option that is not expensive" following the death of her cat.
With clients such as Volkman in mind, other funeral homes have begun to offer pet services, according to the article.
