Congrats to Franklin Middle School!

Submitted by NEW200 Education Foundation

As the capstone activity for the 8th grade Entrepreneurship course this semester, 170 students participated in the 2nd Annual Entrepreneurship Expo for District 200 on June 2, 2014 at Illinois Institute of Technology in Wheaton.

Students presented their start-up business ventures to judges from NEW200 Education Foundation, Wheaton Chamber of Commerce and local business leaders, who also provided insight and feedback to students.

There were some innovative business plans and creative ideas.

Scores were based on usefulness, execution, market analysis, speaking and visual presentation.

As the winner, Franklin Middle School received a $1,500 grant for technology from the NEW200 Education Foundation. Please go to NEW200.org to find out more information about how the District’s Education Foundation is re-launching and how you can help.
