Congressman Peter Roskam recently recognized Wheaton North High School senior Leah Schwartz and Wheaton Academy student Katie Mann with the Congressional Excellence Award

Schwartz and Mann were honored for their academic excellence and promise as a leader, according to a release from Community Unit School District 200. They received the award alongside several other high school students at the representative's West Chicago District Office.

“As parents, teachers, coaches and mentors, we strive to put in place every opportunity so that our kids can succeed,” said Roskam. “So nights like tonight are extra special, because we’re honoring a group of high school seniors who have not only taken advantage of the educational opportunities their schools provide but also the programs and activities in the community to go above and beyond all of our hopes and expectations
