Wheaton Gymnasts Compete in IHSA State Finals
Wheaton Warrenville co-op's Audrey Channon and Sarah Deicke made their first-ever appearances in the state finals on Friday night.
Wheaton Warrenville co-op’s Audrey Channon and Sarah Deicke were among the most elite high school gymnasts in the state on Friday as the two competed in Friday’s IHSA girls gymnastics state finals at Palatine.
Both qualified to compete on the balance beam and are students at Wheaton Warrenville South. Channon took 17th place with a 9.075 while Deicke competed for the final time, placing 22nd with an 8.95.

The top ten scores on beam advanced to Saturday’s championship finals.
