This Week's Senior: Emily Hannan

Emily Hannan is a current Wheaton Warrenville South senior. She is active in performance arts at school and with the Student Council, Environmental Club, and Key Club. She is also involved at her church and with her own organization, "Native Stars."

Emily Hannan is a senior at Wheaton Warrenville South High School. Emily loves to perform and is involved in Classics Show Choir, the Variety Show, Chamber Choir, and “Remember the Girls” a cappella group. She keeps herself busy participating in Student Council, High Schools Against Cancer, Youth and Government, Verterra Environmental Club, Key Club, and Relay for Life. On top of all that, Emily is also involved in the St. Daniel EDGE program and her own organization, “Native Stars.” Emily has not chosen which college she will attend, but hopes to start at the University of Notre Dame in the fall. She plans on majoring in International Relations and Spanish.

Wheaton Patch: Why did you choose Notre Dame?

Emily Hannan: I've grown up a Notre Dame fan. Since elementary school, I've visited the school almost every year. The university is based upon tradition, faith, and spirit - something I would like my college experience to be about.

Hannan: I will miss the safety of my home - being able to feel comfort anywhere at anytime in Wheaton.

Patch: “When I visit home, the first thing I’ll do is...”

Patch: What is your goal for the end of the year? What do you hope to accomplish before graduation?

Hannan: One of my goals for this year is to qualify and compete at Fame Nationals for show choir. But, at the end of the year I'd like to be able to live in the final moments of my high school career, and not get lost while looking forward to college.
