Leath is charged with two counts of aggravated DUI—accident causing death. He remains at the DuPage County Jail on $100,000 bond.

Patch will continue to provide updates as they are available.

There are plenty of ways to keep up with Wheaton news:

3Gs gas the full right to express his concerns. Editor Eriksen is a convicted DUI driver and should disclose such if reporting on such or let another patch reporter do so. She could have easily killed the night of her arrest. MY GOD, 60 in a 35 in Wheaton and she claims to be providing a service to our community. And, then to fight the charge. How without good conscious is that?

I have been wondering why that hasn't come up. That an 18 year old high school girl was with a 31 year old man (ick!). Hmmm. Why would they be together? Okay we know why and perhaps what was happening when he lost control of the vehicle. Look, it's the elephant in the room and nobody has mentioned it.

Wheaton editor. Clearly you are monitoring this comment section as you recently removed a recent post regarding 'another' DUI. I find it unsettling that you would remove it, but not the disparaging posts of others towards the victim of this crime. Please explain ... Within ThevPatch's OWN guidelines, under "Acceptable Use", the verbiage states '...the Patch expects its users to be respectful of others". And further states that ..."content that is defamatory, offensive , or infringes on anyone's right to privacy" is not to be posted. EXPLAIN your seemingly biased discretion here. Clearly MANY of the posts that CONTINUE to appear fall within these stipulations.
