Glenbard South Hosts Heroin Forum Thursday

The following information comes from a DuPage County Sheriff's Office press release. 

The DuPage County Sheriff's Office and Glenbard South High School will hold a forum Thursday to talk to parents and teens in the community about heroin.

The program will begin at 7 p.m. April 24 in the auditorium at Glenbard South, 23W200 Butterfield Road in Glen Ellyn. 

Along with Sheriff John Zaruba, other guest speakers will include Glen Ellyn Police Chief Phil Norton, DuPage County States Attorney Robert Berlin, DuPage County Coroner Dr. Rich Jorgensen, speakers from the Community and the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office.

“With the end of the school year quickly approaching, we want parents to be informed of the potential dangers that your teens face," Zaruba said. "Heroin use has become a concern in DuPage County and across the United States and The Sheriff’s Office is demonstrating its ongoing commitment to the community by its multifaceted approach to deal with Heroin in DuPage County through interdiction, education and enforcement."
