Students and staff from Glenbard high schools will gather after school in their cafeterias to create Heartfelt Valentines for Veterans on Wednesday.
This community event is designed to show appreciation for our servicemen and servicewomen.
The Glenbard District 87 ACTS (Advocating Character Through Service) Committee, all Glenbard student organizations, together with the village of Glendale Heights, are organizing this volunteer opportunity for students from all four Glenbard high schools and several elementary school districts.
Several veterans are scheduled to be on hand to express their appreciation. The ACTS Committee will supply art materials and snacks. The valentines will be distributed to hospitalized veterans and servicemen/women here and abroad.
