Franklin Cancels School Due to Power Outage, 806 Without Power in Wheaton

School canceled for Franklin students. ComEd expects major outage areas to be restored Wednesday afternoon.

According to ComEd's outage map, only five customers in Wheaton remain without power, after more than 800 outages were reported Wednesday morning.

Parents with questions after 8 a.m. are asked to call the School Service Center at 630-682-2000, according to the District 200 website.

According to ComEd's outage map, 806 customers in Wheaton are without power this morning.

More than 650 of the outages are north of College Avenue, near Summit Street. ComEd expects to restore power in that area by 3 p.m. Wednesday.

The neighborhood east of South Naperville Road also has more than 500 outages, with an expected restoration time of 12 p.m. Wednesday, according to ComEd.
