Wheaton League of Women Voters Welcomes District 200 Superintendent Dr. Harris and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Sorrick

The new Superintendent of District 200, Dr. Brian Harris, plans to address the difficulties in managing under the current Illinois fiscal crisis.  He will also address the main challenges for our District and the goals that he has set for the coming years. 

His speech will be preceded by a talk given by Assistant Superintendent for curriculum in District 200, Dr. Margo Sorrick. She will address the Reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), commonly known as the No Child Left Behind Act and the Race to the Top including the Common Curriculum Standards widely accepted among the States and the possible effects on our District.

There will be an opportunity for questions following the presentations.
