The West Suburban Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) Community Group is pleased to present a talk by certified HeartMath provider Nancy Hill, from 7 to 9 PM on the evening of Thursday, May 3rd. Research conducted by the HeartMath Institute in Boulder Creek, California, has shown that the human heart has an incredible, innate intelligence that responds to feelings of love and appreciation. Learning to balance our heart rhythms can help us align our bodies, emotions, minds, and spirit. When we are able to enter a state of inner quiet, our stress levels decrease accordingly.

“The heart, known by mystics and sages as the seat of wisdom, is far more powerful than we’ve often realized,” says Nancy. “Practicing HeartMath tools allows us to achieve inner coherence and tap into our hearts’ intelligence.” During her presentation, Nancy will provide a demonstration of the “Freeze Frame” method, which is a valuable tool that can be used to achieve inner coherence.

Nancy has worked as an individual and family therapist, a college instructor, and a holistic practitioner. Presently, Nancy leads women’s groups dedicated toward helping women achieve their dreams. It is important to Nancy to help awaken women to their own potentials and passions. She has also written a book, entitled, “Unfolding: Slow Down—Drop In—Dare More,” which will be released in 2013. The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) was cofounded in 1973 by astronaut Edgar Mitchell, of the Apollo 14 mission. Mitchell experienced an epiphany during Apollo 14, as he looked down upon the earth. “The presence of divinity became almost palpable, and I knew that life in the universe was not just an accident based on random processes,” said Mitchell.
