“Science and Religion: Place, Politics, Poetics”

 

David Livingstone, professor of Geography and Intellectual History at Queen’s University in Belfast, delivers a lecture titled “Science and Religion: Place, Politics, Poetics.”

Livingstone has written extensively on intellectual history and the relationship of the history of science to the Christian faith. His most recent books are Putting Science in Its Place: Geographies of Scientific Knowledge and Adam’s Ancestors: Race, Religion, and the Politics of Human Origins. He is a fellow of the prestigious British Academy.  

This is the sixth lecture in Wheaton College’s Faith and Learning Lecture Series “Discipleship and the Disciplines.” It is free and open to the public, and is held in room 339 of Blanchard Hall, located at 501 College Avenue in Wheaton (campus map).
