“Playing the Job Match Game: An Insider’s View from a Seasoned Recruiter”

Laurie Swanson, president and chief account manager of Laso Corporation, will share an insider’s view of how recruiters match talent to their client organizations at .  

Swanson has 20 years of experience placing top information technology (IT) talent nationwide.  She spent nearly four years with Search Enterprises IT recruiting division where she became the top sales representative for the firm and ran an independent recruiting firm with two associates before launching Laso Coporation in 1995.  She holds a degree in business with an emphasis in data processing from the University of Texas in Austin.  Laurie is also on the board of the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce and was recently acknowledged for her contribution to “Make a Difference Day,” honored by the Wheaton City Council as well as USA Today.  

She will talk to people in transition about what recruiters in any industry look for when reviewing candidates for opportunities and how to position oneself for success in the job search process.   Between Successes, a joint ministry of Gary United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, is held from 7:00 to 8:40 p.m. at Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N.
