Dr. Daniel Philpott, Associate Professor of Political Science and Peace Studies, University of Notre Dame, will speak in Edman Memorial Chapel. Dr. Philpott is currently completing Just and Unjust Peace: An Ethic of Political Reconciliation, and conducts work in faith-based reconciliation around the globe. He trains political and religious leaders in reconciliation in Burundi and the broader Great Lakes region of Africa under the auspices of the Catholic Peacebuilding Network.
