Final Sale of Surplus Items at Hubble

Community Unit School District 200 on Friday, Nov. 4 will hold its final public sale of surplus items at the former Hubble school property.

Items for sale include desks, shelving, chairs, tables, old electronic and AV equipment, cabinets and other special equipment. Requests for memorabilia or other special items will be reviewed on a case by case basis. At this time, bricks will not be sold. District 200 hopes to work with the demolition company to preserve some of the bricks and will open that sale to the public at a later date, according to a press release from the district.

The public sale will be held at the old Hubble property from noon to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4.

Shoppers may enter the building through Door 32 off of Roosevelt Road. District 200 will acceptcash only and buyers must take their items upon purchase except for lockers and auditorium seats. 

Lockers and auditorium seats that are sold Nov. 4 must be picked up between 4 and 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8 Proceeds of the sale will support the Operations & Maintenance fund for the District.

$2—Student desk chair (single)

$5—Student desk tablet type

$5—Standard chair (no wheels)

$10—Office chair with wheels

$10—Teachers desk

$5—Book case

$5—Overhead projector/VCR/printers

$10—Computer desk

$10—Table

$10—A.V. carts

$10—TVs

$15—Stove/miscellaneous appliances

$10—Storage cabinets

$5—File cabinets

Other miscellaneous items will be priced. Special order items include locker doors and banks, $5, and auditorium seats, $10 per seat.
