We will have the minimum bid number tonight when we receive the appraisal, so
the WPD and all interested parties are on an even playing field.

Nothing the potential bidders have presented puts them at any advantage, nor the
WPD at any disadvantage in this process.

It is my understanding the developers who have expressed an interest in
acquiring the property have also reached out to the WPD.  Perhaps you could team
up with one of them, or certainly you could bid solo.

As to contingencies, we will follow advise of counsel regarding the language of
the bid specifications."

The park district requested a delay to "allow the Wheaton Park District the time it needs to plan and prepare its response to the bid," Ray Morrill, park board president wrote Tuesday.
