District 200 to Sell Hubble Bricks Oct. 25, Nov. 1

District 200 will sell bricks from the old Wheaton Central/Hubble school building at the DuPage County Fairgrounds.

District 200 will sell bricks from the old Wheaton Central High School/Hubble Middle School Thursday, Oct. 25 and Thursday, Nov. 1 at the DuPage County Fairgrounds.

Bricks with a commemorative plaque will be on sale for $15. Plain bricks will be $5, the district announced Monday.

The sale will be 3:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25 and 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 in the west parking lot of the DuPage County Fairgrounds. The district will only accept cash.

District 200 last month closed on the sale of the old Hubble school property at the corner of Naperville and Roosevelt roads in Wheaton.

The district accepted the offer of $5,000,200 from developer Bradford Equities, LLC last summer. Bradford plans to build a Mariano's Fresh Market on the site at the corner of Naperville and Roosevelt roads, and will begin asbestos removal at the site tomorrow, developers said.
