District 200 Offers Grief Counseling for Students, Staff

District 200 makes counseling center available to students after death of Wheaton Warrenville South junior Kaelan Mondragon.

In the wake of the March 28 passing of Wheaton Warrenville South junior Kaelan Mondragon, District 200 counselors will visit his former classes and monitor students and staff.

The district sent the following note to Wheaton Warrenville South families:

Last week, Wheaton Warrenville South junior, Kaelan Mondragon, passed away at his home. To assist our students with this tragedy, the Counseling Center has been made available to them and two counselors are visiting each of the classes in which he was enrolled. We will continue to monitor our students and staff in the wake of this event. If you have a specific student you are concerned about, your child or any other, please call our Counseling Center and ask to speak to any of the counselors.
