District 200 Hires Washington Principal to Take Over at Hubble

Washington Elementary School Principal Jon Pilkington will move to Hubble Middle School this summer to serve as the principal-elect for the 2013-14 school year before Hubble Principal Beth Sullivan retires in 2014, according to a District 200newsletter.

"This transition year will give Mr. Pilkington the opportunity to work with Dr. Sullivan as well as all students, staff, and parents prior to him assuming the Principalship in 2014-15," according to the email.

Pilkington moved to Washington in 2010 from his post as assistant principal at Johnson Elementary School.

Jen Tavine, the current assistant principal at Hubble Middle School, will move to become the new principal at Washington Elementary beginning this summer.
