What Time Is Tuesday's Presidential Debate?

Here are details on the second debate between incumbent Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney, including places to watch in DuPage County.

The second presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney is scheduled for 8 p.m. central on Tuesday, Oct. 16. The debate will be run in a town meeting format, with topics including domestic and foreign policy.

Debate watch parties: Leslie Coolidge and the DuPage Democrats will host a debate watching party at the Ramada Inn, 780 North Avenue in Glendale Heights. Registration begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 at the door. Illinois Treasurer Dan Rutherford and the DuPage GOP will host a debate watching party at 7 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Medinah Shriner in Addison.

According to the CPD, "The second presidential debate will take the form of a town meeting, in which citizens will ask questions of the candidates on foreign and domestic issues. Candidates each will have two minutes to respond, and an additional minute for the moderator to facilitate a discussion. The town meeting participants will be undecided voters selected by the Gallup Organization."
