Wheaton Park District to Seek Bids for Improvements to Elliot Lake Shoreline

The Wheaton Park District is expected to start seeking bids for a $500,000 project meant to restore the shoreline of Elliot Lake with the hopes of improving water quality throughout the district, according to the Chicago Tribune. 

The shoreline of the lake, which is meant to hold stormwater, has been eroding and the park district hopes to "rebuild it and add native plants with deep roots that will hold the soil," the Chicago Tribune reports.
