Wheaton Jeanine Nicarico Children’s Advocacy Center Dedication on Tuesday

The building is the new home of the DuPage County Children's Center, which investigates and processes all cases of child sexual and severe physical abuse in the County.

The following is a press release from DuPage County: 

DuPage County officials will dedicate the newly constructed Children’s Advocacy Center in memory of Jeanine Nicarico on Tuesday.

In 1983, at the age of 10, Jeanine Nicarico’s young life ended by a senseless criminal act. The case spurred reforms to the method and process of investigating and prosecuting crimes against children.

The Jeanine Nicarico Children’s Advocacy Center provides a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary response to allegations of abuse in a dedicated and child-friendly setting located on the DuPage County campus in Wheaton.

WHO: DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin, State’s Attorney Robert Berlin, Tom and Patricia Nicarico, Public Works Committee Chairman Jim Healy and Judicial and Public Safety Committee Chairman Grant Eckhoff.

WHEN: Noon, Tuesday, Sept. 17.

WHERE: 422 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton (Located on the west side of County Farm Road near the North Entrance).
