Jeanne is the reason all of these great things are happening in Wheaton. Send her to Springfield so she can do the same for the whole state.
Ronnie Ray February 06, 2012 at 10:22 PM
WOW, all done in the few months in Wheaton City Council. With all the experience in City government and all that was accomplished, its time to move on to the State house. With ambition like that who needs voters.
Rick Nelson February 06, 2012 at 11:00 PM
Many factors are involved in the increased development in Wheaton. I don't think Jeanne was implying that she did all of this but she is just being a good spokesperson of all the good things that are happening in Wheaton. We need more positive news like that.
Ronnie Ray February 07, 2012 at 12:03 AM
But the problem is SHE IS taking credit.. and using it to further her political career. I don't like that..
Jim McMahon February 07, 2012 at 12:28 AM
Ives was active on important issues years before she was sworn into office on the Wheaton City council. Her train has left the station.
Ronnie Ray February 07, 2012 at 01:29 AM
Wrongo...Ives was active for years on one issue - getting herself elected to office.
Charlotte Eriksen (Editor) February 07, 2012 at 01:47 PM
I'm surprised you saw it that way Ronnie Ray

Don't be a hater.

Agreed The NKI. From the self absorbed Queen's own Facebook page: "One more example of the state handing out money it doesn't have for projects it doesn't understand. Wheaton received a $15,000 grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to help fix Park Avenue road. We will gladly take any state funds we can get, however, Park Avenue has NO business on it at all. It is a residential street with the CUSD200 admin building and Whittier school. AND $15,000 won't be enough to fix the sidewalks on the street." Not too supportive of Wheaton if you ask me. Now, lets sit back and let Jeanne's Molly BRING IT!
Jean E, Liess February 07, 2012 at 04:15 PM
More anti Wheaton Propaganda from Queenie the Meanie's Facebook: '"Wheaton Park District just received over $2 million of state grant money when Illinois is not paying its bills to healthcare providers, private contractors who service prisons, or a myriad of others. My brother in Galesburg in helping subsidize the gyms my children will use with money we don't have." How come she isn't whining how Wheaton received this money while fawning for the TV cameras? Lucky for her she married a fella who is loaded who can sent their kids to St. Milke's. Screw the rest of us...Guess she would prefer mine to play in the street. Can't wait too hear what Jeanne's "Molly" has to say about that! LOL :)

I only hate lies and deceit
Ronnie Ray February 07, 2012 at 05:27 PM
It would appear Jeanne speaks with forked tongue
Tom Mouhelis February 07, 2012 at 09:08 PM
glad i live in sandy pihos district
Molly R. O'Brien February 07, 2012 at 09:37 PM
Very classy Mr. Mouhelis. See if you can equal your vote margains from the 2009 campaign. DOUBT IT! You just hate Jeanne because your pride was wounded after the voters of the East District almost rejected you in favor of Jeanne, a complete unknown and outsider. The voters of the East District will speak come April 2013. To paraphrase a great ARMY general, Old politicians never die, they just fade away.
Tom Mouhelis February 07, 2012 at 09:50 PM
u have no clue as to my statement, there is no contested primary here
Molly R. O'Brien February 07, 2012 at 09:58 PM
Where do you stand then? Are you with Jeanne or against her? Air Force with no ground game to back it up?
Tom Mouhelis February 08, 2012 at 01:19 AM

Jim McMahon February 08, 2012 at 03:22 AM
Its becoming clear....she's going to win.
Mark Kmiecik February 14, 2012 at 06:34 PM
I believe Chris Hage would make a Superior state Rep. I happen to life in the 42nd State Rep district for a long time (28years). so I have a stake in the race and of the four Candidates ( I happen to know them all very well) I think Chris Hage is the best person for the job.
Cath Anders March 08, 2012 at 05:09 AM
Well said Mark!
