UTI, TIF Proposal Begins Planning & Zoning Process This Month

A real estate firm is proposing a $35 million project that would bring a UTI campus to northern Lisle, according to Crain's Chicago Business.

Lisle's planning and zoning commission members will review a new proposal that would ultimately result in a Universal Technical Institute, Inc. (UTI) training school on Corporate Drive.

The item is scheduled to appear on the April 18 agenda.

A real estate firm said the project would cost approximately $35 million, which would include $8 million in TIF funds through the Village of Lisle, if approved, according to a report from Crain's Chicago Business. Read the full story.

Who got paid off to approve this deal? No surprise that Guggenheim and Catamaran are leaving with thousands of employees just before UTI arrives with a bunch of unemployed kids loaded with student load debt.

UTI stock crashes. Lisle sure knows how to pick the losers! How much money are the taxpayers investing in this deal? http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=UTI

UTI falls 28% in one day. So predicable. Why didn't Lisle question their financial stability prior to approving a $6M TIF? Big changes coming... watch and wait.

What a pity that millions of tax money is going to shore up failing companies like UTI and Navistar. What a pity. Thanks to Broda and the Board there are more tax increases ahead for everyone in Lisle ...everyone except UTI and Navistar. Huge property tax levy increase will be approved at the next Village Board meeting.
