Taste of Wheaton Gets Additional Day of Activities, Beer Garden

The Taste of Wheaton will run June 5 through June 8 this year in downtown Wheaton.

The beer garden at the Taste of Wheaton will be open an extra day this year, according to media reports. 

Typically, the Taste of Wheaton offers a carnival on its fourth and final day but organizers for the event said families have been wanting food, entertainment and additional offerings on that day as well, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The Wheaton City Council on Monday amended its liquor control ordinance to allow beer and wine to be served up to four days — instead of just three days — and also changed the fee for a license to $200 per day, according to the Daily Herald.

The city council at their Monday meeting also approved an outdoor special event liquor license for the 2014 Taste of Wheaton, according to the Daily Herald.
