Mitt Romney to Fundraise on Primary Day in Wheaton

Romney plans three fundraisers in Illinois, including one in Wheaton, on primary day, March 20, MyFoxChicago.com reports.

Mitt Romney plans a fundraiser in Wheaton on primary day, March 20, MyFoxChicago.com reported Thursday.

According to the Wheaton College archives website, Romney wanted to hold a rally at the college early in the 2008 Republican primary, the Sunday before Super Tuesday, but was unable to secure permission to campus facilities.

The last campaign to visit Wheaton College was Jesse Jackson in 1988, according to the site.

Romney currently leads the field in delegates going into Super Tuesday, when votes will be held in Alaska, Georgia, Idaho, Massachusetts, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia, Huffington Post reports.
