Mayor, School and Park District Reps to Discuss State of the City

Wheaton Mayor Mike Gresk and representatives from District 200 and the Wheaton Park District will present information on the state of the city and other happenings in Wheaton.

From the City’s finances to infrastructure projects and economic development, Wheaton Mayor Michael Gresk will make two presentations that provide an update about issues affecting the City of Wheaton.

Gresk will present his annual State of the City Address at the Chamber of Commerce’s Jan. 17 luncheon at Arrowhead Golf Club. Advance registration is required for this event, and a fee applies. The event begins at 11:30 a.m.

Then, at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 17, Mayor Gresk will speak at the State of the Community Public Forum, which is hosted by the Wheaton League of Women Voters at the Wheaton Park District Community Center, 1777 S. Blanchard Road. This free event is open to the public. It also will include presentations by representatives from the Community Unit School District 200 Board and the Wheaton Park District Board, followed by a question and answer session. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Both events will be recorded and will be available for viewing after the events on the City’s website and on City of Wheaton Channel 10 (CWC10).
