Illinois Liberty PAC Endorses Jeanne Ives

Ives press release: Radio host Dan Proft announces Illinois Liberty PAC endorsement in Naperville.

WLS-AM Radio Host Dan Proft last Wednesday announced that the Illinois Liberty PAC officially endorsed Jeanne Ives’ campaign for state representative in the 42nd District, according to a press release from Jeanne Ives.

“Legislators have value in the policy decisions they make and support. Jeanne  understands the policy reforms that must be made for Illinois if we are to step back from the precipice of collapse and re-build our state,” said Proft.

“My high school basketball coach used to say, “Talent is nothing if you don’t put in the hard work. I think that’s true, but talent is important. Jeanne Ives has the talent to be a great legislator. She also has the perseverance and determination it will take to fight Mike Madigan and the Democrat machine in Springfield. We are proud to support her campaign.”

Pat Hughes, former Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, said of Ives, “Jeanne will be a fighter. She won’t be intimidated by those who oppose her. She has the courage and commitment to help advance necessary changes in Illinois.”

Ives, a councilwoman in Wheaton, promised to work to expand economic opportunity.

“At the Illinois Policy Institute, they say ‘Policy Changes Lives.’ In Illinois we have no choice but to immediately begin making choices that will build our economy. I am committed to using my economic and tax background, as well as my experience at the municipal level to protect the taxpayers in Illinois and expand economic opportunity in every possible way.”

“The message that voters need to understand is that I have the experience, background and principled leadership ability to make a difference in Springfield.”

Ives added, “I graduated from West Point. There, I learned to live by an honor code. You don’t lie, steal or cheat. In Springfield, they have to legislate honor.”

“My only purpose in going to the state legislature is, at every decision point, to make the best choice for the taxpayers of Illinois. The special interests have their lobbyists; I will be the taxpayers' lobbyist. I won’t be bought or compromised in order to further a personal agenda. When I come home I will have five kids, a great husband and a basket of laundry waiting for me. I’ll be kept humble.”

“The good news for taxpayers in Illinois is that there are a number of conservative organizations working to turn this state from an economic wasteland to land of opportunity. I want to thank Dan Proft, Pat Hughes and the Illinois Liberty PAC for their support of my campaign and for helping provide policy prescriptions targeted at solving Illinois' fiscal malady.”
