Greek-American Advocacy Group Endorses Chris Hage

Press release: UHVA praises candidate's leadership and policies

The following is a press release from Chris Hage:

Calling him a "valued friend," the United Hellenic Voters Association has announced its support of Chris Hage for State Representative (42nd District).

"We are in agreement with your policies and views, and we feel your leadership will benefit our community and pledge to you our support,” leaders of the UHVA wrote.
The organization will reach out to its members to encourage them to vote for Hage.
“The endorsement of the UHVA is a great honor,” Hage said. “The organization promotes good government and citizenship.  This helps underscore my conservative message.  It’s also very humbling to have the support of such a warm community.”
Hage announced his run in October, with Patti Birkett, wife of former DuPage State's Attorney Joe Birkett, chairing the effort.
For nearly ten years, Hage served as a prosecutor under Birkett, successfully convicting felons and collecting more than a million dollars in child support. For more than ten years, Hage has also led the Chicago Lawyers' Chapter of the Federalist Society, a conservative public policy group started by Reagan Administration attorneys.  Hage also is an Eagle Scout.
The 42nd District includes all of Winfield, large parts of Wheaton and Lisle, and portions of Carol Stream, West Chicago, Warrenville, and Naperville.

My nephew is studying to become a Catholic priest, he also an Eagle scout and I'm very proud of him, but that does not qualify him to become an elected official. We need more people like Jeanne Ives who understands taxes and economics....do we need more lawyers in Springfield. Vote early for Jeanne Ives.
Molly R. O'Brien March 07, 2012 at 09:09 PM
Jeanne is the only one who can save Springfield from the politicans. She single handidly turned Wheaton around with her economics background, and has brought in more than 100 million in investments to our downtown. If it wasn't for her, we would be stuck with more money going down the drain with the Theater and the DWA. Hage/Carlin/ Pollastrini are all the same. Working for their political masters such as Birkett/Walsh/Pate Phillips. Jeanne will break from the past. She and Chris Nybo will make a great team in Springfield.

Jeanne will not be intimidated by the "powers" that be in Wheaton. The light of transparancy shines through all.

Molly last I checked there are 7 votes on city council. DWA is still getting money from property owners. the vote was 4-3, list the 100 million that Ives has brought into the city. Is Ives fighting 1st Trust in there quest to lower its tax bill? How about Airhart and the courthouse? Some people live in fantasyland.
John Mihas March 07, 2012 at 10:14 PM
He is more qualified than the PAC's that endorse Ives. Jim maybe you can share Jeanne long list of accomplishments on city council.
Jim McMahon March 08, 2012 at 03:27 AM
Ives list of accomplishments are as follows: Launched the first static IP address. Coined the phrase "Are You Lookin' at Me?" Wrote the theme song from Love Boat. I hope this satisfies you.

Cath Anders March 08, 2012 at 04:20 AM
I believe the phrase...
Cath Anders March 08, 2012 at 04:24 AM
I guess it really does not matter, she will NEVER get my vote!
John Mihas March 08, 2012 at 03:31 PM
You should do improv.

Cath , Ives voted to sell Sandburg's building 100,000 below acquisition price. another candiate that wastes taxpayers money. Maybe her supporters can make up the difference.

Hage is a great guy, a hard worker, and he knows his facts. He'll be getting my vote hands down.
