DuPage County Scholarship Information Session

DuPage County will host an Education Scholarship Informational for residents on Thursday, April 19.

Attendees will learn how to locate scholarship funding through the internet, community organizations and by networking. They will also be provided with a list of available scholarships. Additionally, suggestions will be given on how applicants can put together a competitive scholarship packet.

The County will also provide information about the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) scholarship that provides financial assistance to low-income individuals with high academic potential. Scholarships can be used for formal education or occupational training. The scholarship is funded through the State of Illinois and will supplement the cost of tuition, books, supplies and other school-related items for a semester or a quarter. More information about the CSBG scholarship can be found at dupageco.org.

The scholarship informational meeting will be held from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at the DuPage County JTK Administration Building, 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton. The meeting will be held in room 1500B.
