Early Voting Winding Down

250 votes already cast in Wheaton; last day to early vote is Thursday.

With early voting set to close on Thursday, 250 Wheaton residents had already cast their ballot as of Monday, according to the DuPage County Election Commission.

Wheaton is one of many suburbs with mayoral and council races, as well as other measures, up for grabs in the April 5 election in DuPage County. The commission reported 5,588 early ballots cast around the county, with Monday ranking as one of the busiest days since early voting began on March 14.

Wheaton residents can early vote at the election commission's office, 421 County Farm Road. More information on early voting can be found on the commission's Web site.

The April 5 ballot in Wheaton features Mayor Michael Gresk being challenged by Councilman John Prendiville; five candidates vying for two open city council seats; five candidates looking to fill four seats on park district board; and a referendum on using public funding for the Wheaton Grand Theatre.
