DuPage Stormwater Management Invites Students to Design 25th Anniversary Logo, Slogan

Middle school students can design a logo and slogan for stormwater management throughout the county.

The DuPage County Stormwater Management Division is inviting middle school students to design a logo and slogan to represent stormwater management throughout the County.

Honoring the 25th anniversary of DuPage County Stormwater Management, the logo and slogan will help promote best management practices (BMPs) for stormwater runoff in the community. Common BMPs present in residences, businesses and schools throughout DuPage County include rain barrels, green roofs, permeable pavers and native plant gardens, according to a press release from DuPage County.

Stormwater Management Planning Committee Chairman Jim Zay said in a statement, “This is an exciting opportunity for children in the community to change the face of stormwater management for all of DuPage County."

“The County has been at the forefront of stormwater management in our region for 25 years, and I look forward to a new generation contributing to the success of the program.”

The competition will run until Friday, Oct. 5, and is open to all DuPage County middle school students as they learn about pollution, conservation and water cycles in the classroom. The winning logo and slogan will be featured on stormwater management publications and educational materials distributed throughout the County.
