District 200 Superintendent Discusses Bullying in City Video

District 200 Superintendent Dr. Brian Harris discusses bullying on City of Wheaton talk show.

When it comes to bullying, no child is too young to learn what District 200 expects of its students. This is one message District 200 Superintendent Dr. Brian Harris discusses in the City’s newest video, “A Community Effort: Working Together to Combat Bullying.” This final installment in the City’s video series on bullying with the Wheaton Police Department encompasses how Wheaton schools are addressing bullying at every grade level and the important roles parents, teachers and students play.

From the type of training teachers receive to the creative ways Wheaton schools are teaching students social/emotional lessons to prevent bullying, Dr. Harris discusses how the district’s schools are being proactive in dealing with bullying. He also discusses the important role parents play in preventing bullying and how the district works to educate parents about bullying, too.

Wheaton Police Officer Ed Hasan, who serves as the School Liaison Officer at Wheaton Warrenville South High School, also discusses how the district’s approach to prevent bullying works in cooperation with the Police Department.

This new video is available on the City’s website for viewing anytime and is also being shown on City of Wheaton Channel 10 (CWC10).
