Students Report Man Taking Pictures at Bus Stop in Warrenville

Hubble students report man who appeared to be taking pictures of students at a bus stop in Warrenville.

District 200 warned parents Thursday of a man who appeared to be taking pictures of students at a bus stop in Warrenville yesterday morning and earlier today.

According to the District 200 message, "Yesterday morning and today, at a bus stop at Twin Pines and White Oak in Warrenville, a white, older man with gray hair appeared to be taking pictures of students with a black camera. The man was described as driving a small, blue car."
Hubble students reported the incident to officials this morning. District staff immediately contacted the Warrenville Police. The Warrenville Police are currently investigating the incident, according to the message.
The district included the following safety recommendations for parents to review with children:

  • Always walk in groups
  • Be aware of your surroundings
  • Never approach an unknown vehicle or talk to strangers
  • If approached by a stranger, don’t speak or make eye contact and then run home or away to a place of safety
  • Report any strange incidents to a responsible adult as soon as possible
