Wheaton Police Report Vandalism at Church, Liquor Theft and More

Theft

Someone stole $20 in liquor from Jewel Osco, 2031 Main Street, Friday, Apr. 6. According to the police report a witness saw a man and a woman take the liquor without paying around 4 p.m.

Property damage

Someone damaged a mailbox in the 0-100 block of Venetian Way Circle between 10 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 7 and 10 a.m. Sunday. The cost of damage is $100, police said.

A resident in the 900 block of Arbor Avenue in Wheaton reported criminal damage after someone rang their doorbell then broke the front window of their home around 9 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 7. The cost of damage is $200, police said.

Someone broke into First Presbyterian Church, in the 700 block of Carlton Street in Wheaton, and defaced the door with a black marker between 6 p.m. March 29 and 9 a.m. Wednesday, Apr. 4. The offender drew a picture of a male's anatomy and wrote "love" on the door, according to the police report.

Someone kicked the front door of a home in the 1500 block of Orchard Street around noon March 7, cracking the door.

Property damage to vehicle

Someone loosened the lug nuts of a 1993 Ford Econoline parked in the 800 block of Delles Street in Wheaton between 7 p.m. Sunday, Apr. 8 and 9 a.m. Monday. The owner of the vehicle reported he noticed his wheels shaking while driving and later found that the lug nuts had broken off.

Someone keyed a passenger door of a 2003 Honda Odyssey parked in the 2100 block of Roosevelt Road between 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 7 and 8 a.m. Sunday.

Someone scratched the hood, front panel and doors of a 2010 Ford Taurus parked in the garage at the Wheaton Center Apartments between 11 p.m. March 31 and 10 a.m. Friday, Apr. 6.
