Wheaton Police Report 4 DUI, License and Drug Arrests

DUI

Police arrested Giovanni Zoppe of Chicago for driving under the influence of alcohol Tuesday, May 1. Zoppe, 46, drove a yellow 2002 Pontiac Sunfire near the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Wheaton Avenue around 2 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Police arrested William Gassion of Aurora for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license Monday, Apr. 30. Gassion, 32, drove an orange 2006 Suzuki Reno near the intersection of Geneva Road and Main Street around midnight when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night. Police also arrested Sandral Hughes, 28, of Carol Stream, who was wanted on a warrant for criminal damage. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.

Police arrested William Hogan of Roselle for driving under the influence of alcohol Saturday, Apr. 29. Hogan, 81, drove a red 2005 Cadillac Deville near the intersection of Farnham Street and Roosevelt Road around 4 p.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.

Police arrested Miguel Serrano of Bensenville for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended license Saturday, Apr. 29. Serrano, 20, drove a red 2000 Ford Excursion near the intersection of Butterfield Road and Leask Lane around 3 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

License

Police arrested Deborah Gamble of Aurora for driving on a suspended license and a warrant for driving without a license Sunday, Apr. 30. Gamble, 54, drove a black 2000 Ford Explorer near the intersection of Illinois and Main streets around 11 a.m. when police stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.

Drugs

Police issued a local ordinance citation to a 25-year-old Glen Ellyn man for marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession Saturday, Apr. 29. He was cited near the intersection of Evergreen Street and Lorraine Road around 6:40 p.m. and released on the scene.
