MONDAY, JAN. 6, 2014


Warrant Arrest


John L. Knox, 47, of the 300 block of North Prospect Avenue, Wheaton, was arrested at 4:38 p.m. at the Wheaton Police Department, 900 W. Liberty Drive, on a DuPage County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of driving while license suspended. He was transported to the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office.

ID, Debit Card Stolen


Police took a report at 8:07 p.m. from a man who said his ID and debit card were stolen from a locker at a business on the 200 block of Geneva Road. The victim told police he left his belongings in a locker while he exercised.

Packages Stolen from Doorstep


A resident told police at 4:32 p.m. that someone stole two packages that were delivered to his home on Dec. 16, 2013. The resident told police he used the Internet to order some electronics items that were supposed to be delivered before Christmas. On Jan. 4, he called the U.S. Postal Service, which said two packages had been delivered to the doorstep of his home on Dec. 16, 2013. The value of the items was estimated at $75.


Felony Charge on Revoked License


Daniel Z. Fuentes, 33, of the 00-99 block of Kensington Circle, Wheaton, was arrested at 11:22 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and Main Street on a felony charge of aggravated driving on a revoked license, and no insurance. He was transported to the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office.

Vehicle Burglary


Someone smashed the front passenger-side window of a 1998 Buick LeSabre while it was parked in a private lot in the 1000 block of Briarbrook Drive between 1 a.m. and 4:31 p.m. About $20 in coins were reported stolen from a center console cup holder.


MONDAY, DEC. 30, 2013


Wreath Stolen


Between Dec. 27 and Dec. 29, 2013, someone stole a lighted Christmas wreath hanging in the front yard of a resident’s home on the 800 block of North Main Street. The value was estimated at $100.


SATURDAY, DEC. 28, 2014


Business Burglary


A business on the 1100 block of East Butterfield Road reported at 7:54 a.m. that someone broke into the building overnight and had stolen several items of value. Further information was not immediately available.

Driving Under the Influence


Erik M. Hellman, 33, of the 2000 block of Childs Court, Wheaton, was arrested at 8:42 p.m. at his home on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, and obstruction of a peace officer. He posted bond and was released.


Underage Drinking


Bryan C. Dalton, 19, of the 900 block of Gamon Road, Wheaton, and Brian A. Bergman, 19, of the 100 block of Fairway Lane, Wheaton, were arrested about 5:25 p.m. on the 100 block of George Street on one charge each of underwage consumption of alcohol. Each posted bond and was released.


THURSDAY, DEC. 26, 2013


3 Nabbed on Cannabis Charges


Matthew Jerzy Bilyk, 18, of the 400 block of Carrol Gate Road, Wheaton; Katherine M. Nenninger, 18, of the 400 block of Bluegrass Drive, Wheaton; and Gary W. Gifford, 18, of the 1500 block of South County Farm Road, Wheaton, were each arrested at 12:51 a.m. on the 1500 block of County Farm Road. Bilyk and Nenninger were each charged with possession of cannabis. Bilyk also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Gifford was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of fireworks. Each one posted bond and was released.


TUESDAY, DEC. 24, 2014


Criminal Property Damage


The residents of a home on the 1600 block of Burning Trail Court, reported that someone had driven through their lawn and damaged a wooden fence.


SATURDAY, DEC. 21, 2013


DUI


Cesar A. Avila, 25, of the 2700 block of South Milard Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 5:01 p.m. at Butterfield Road and Legends Drive on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of a controlled substance, no insurance, no driver’s license, and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was transported to the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office.


FRIDAY, DEC. 13, 2014


Lots of Undergarments Stolen: $7,210


Employees of a business at Town Square reported at 9:12 p.m. that someone stole $7,210 in undergarments while employees were distracted.

Cannabis Possession


Christopher W. Hartley, 21, of the 800 block of Webster Avenue, Wheaton, was arrested at 12:11 a.m. at the DuPage County Complex on County Farm Road on charges of possession of cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted bond and was released.
