MONDAY, JAN. 20, 2014


Vehicle Burglary


A woman reported at 4:20 p.m. that between 6 and 11:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, someone broke into her unlocked Honda CRV while it was parked in a driveway on the 300 block of South Prospect Avenue and stole an MP3 player valued at $100.


Warrant Arrest


Justin C. Fautsch, 36, of the 00-99 block of Hawkins Circle, Wheaton, was arrested at 1:42 p.m. at the Wheaton Police Department, 900 W. Liberty Drive, on a DuPage County warrant for failure to appear in court on a traffic offense. He posted bond and was released.

SUNDAY, JAN. 19, 2014


Warrant Arrest


Reynaldo Ibarra, 20, of the 1300 block of South Lorraine Road, Wheaton, was arrested at 7:58 p.m. at his home on two DuPage County warrants — one for failure to pay on a traffic offense, the second for failure to appear in court on an unspecified weapons offense and underage consumption of alcohol. He was transported to the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office.

Retail Theft Arrest


Maria Elvia Alanis, 31, of the 1200 block of Kings Court, West Chicago, was arrested at 2:27 p.m. on a charge of retail theft. She posted bond and was released.


Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol


Melissa M. Monno, 31, of the 3S600 block of Warren Avenue, Warrenville, was arrested at 1:40 a.m. at Butterfield Road and Rockwell Street on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. She posted bond and was released.


SATURDAY, JAN. 18, 2014


DUI


Joshua D. Butterfield, 25, of the 1900 block of Chase Street, Aurora, was arrested at 11:56 p.m. at Naperville and Butterfield roads on a charge of DUI. He posted bond and was released.


DUI, Cannabis Possession


Kevin R. Murphy, 18, of the 23W300 block of St. James, Glen Ellyn, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. at Butterfield and South Lambert roads on charges of DUI, and possession of cannabis. He posted bond and was released.


DUI


Timothy D. Dutton, 39, of the 600 block of Wesley Street, Wheaton, was arrested at 1:21 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and South Wheaton Avenue on a charge of DUI. He posted bond and was released.


FRIDAY, JAN. 17, 2014


Criminal Property Damage


A woman reported at 12:10 p.m. that between 8:45 and 10 a.m. on Dec. 14, 2013, someone used a sharp object to scratch the door of her vehicle while it was parked at Danada Square West. No damage estimate was reported.


THURSDAY, JAN. 16, 2014


Arson/Property Damage


Police were dispatched at 8:47 a.m. to the 1300 block of Main Street on a report that between 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, and 8:20 a.m. Thursday, someone ignited a rag that was blocking a hole in a security door. Police said a locking mechanism in the door had been removed but the door had remained secured when the complainant had left the building Wednesday night. No damage estimate was reported.


DUI


Cynthia B. Barnes, 51, of the 2S300 block of Seneca Drive, Wheaton, was arrested at 12:41 a.m. at Butterfield Road and Cromwell Drive on a charge of DUI. She posted bond and was released.


WEDNESDAY, JAN. 15, 2014


Retail Theft Arrest


Misha J. O’Connor, 18, of the 2N100 block of Diane St., Glen Ellyn, was arrested at 3:46 p.m. on the 400 block of South County Farm Road on a charge of retail theft. she posted bond and was released.


TUESDAY, JAN. 14, 2014


Possession of Drug Paraphernalia


Mohamed Y. Husein, 19, of the 1300 block of Woodlake Drive, Carol Stream, was arrested at 3 p.m. at Liberty Drive and Main Street on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted bond and was released.


MONDAY, JAN. 13, 2014


Clothing Stolen From Store


Police were called to Town Square at 8:33 p.m. on a report of the theft of $1,455 in clothing from a store. According to the report, two women had come into the store at 8:03 p.m. without any bags. About 20 minutes later, the report states, the two women were standing by the store’s door with a blue shopping bag. One of the women then grabbed between 24 and 30 clothing items next to the exit and put them into the blue plastic bag and left, getting into a vehicle that had been backed into a parking spot near the door.
