Wheaton Man Guilty of Child Porn Charge

A Wheaton man arrested in April for child pornography possession is sentenced.

A Wheaton man was found guilty Wednesday of one count of aggravated possession of child pornography in front of DuPage County Circuit Judge George Bakalis, Paul Darrah, a spokesman for the DuPage County State's Attorney said.

at his home in the 1700 block of Liberty Drive in Wheaton after an undercover internet investigation conducted by Wheaton police, according to a press release from the .

Jacob will be required to register for life in a DNA sex offender registry. He is sentenced to 24 months of sex offender counseling and probation and 364 days in , Darrah said.

DuPage County is currently working with the Wisconsin department of probation to allow Jacob to complete his time in Wisconsin, where he has relatives, according to Darrah. Jacob has already served 199 of the 364 days in DuPage County and is placed on a work release program until he's able to move to Wisconsin. 

A status date for Jacob is set for Nov. 30. By that time, Darrah said that hopefully, Jacob will have moved to Wisconsin.
